As data has grown exponentially so too has the information requested through FOIA. Gone are the days of bankers’ boxes and filling cabinets. However, with the ever-growing digital environment, information requested on the workings of the Government has ballooned. Through the use of technology FOIA requests can be processed more efficiently and accurately. This tech talk will examine how FOIA has evolved over the years, how utilizing artificial intelligence will help agencies process FOIA, highlight where the appropriate training avenues are, and explore how to prepare for the future of FOIA.
